Information on the Training available

All training provided by the WRPN is certified by the International Institute of Restorative Practices (IIRP).
The Waterford Restorative Practice Network provides a number of different training options to meet the needs of all RP practitioners working within the community. These include:

1 Day RP Practitioner Training
After the 1 day RP Practitioner training, participants will fully understand RP theory and the four key elements of Restorative Practices. They will also attain skills in the following essential RP tools:

  • Affective Statements,
  • Affective Questions,
  • Small Impromptu Conferences/Meetings.

3 day Restorative Practice Facilitators Training,
After the 3 day Facilitator training, participants gain a more in depth knowledge of RP theory and the four key elements of Restorative Practices. In addition they will also become trained in and practice the skills of Formal Restorative Practices Conferencing. This training is recommended for managers and/or key members of staff with specific RP responsibilities.


2 Day Upskilling Training
This two day training can follow the completion of the 1 day RP practitioner training to certify participant to the RP Facilitator level.
